Integrated Athletic Training and Player Development

A lot is expected of those who play the game at the elite level. It is the player's presence on the field that will determine if coaches, scouts, and recruiters remain interested.

Athletic, instinctive, competitive, poised and leader are words used to describe successful players.

Although a lot of being an elite player is innate ability, most physical aspects of the game can be improved with proper training and practice.

Integrated Programming

At Diamond Edge, we firmly believe that an athlete's progress is heavily reliant on the ability of our coaches, trainers, and performance experts ability to see and understand the relationships among a variety of factors. These factors include static and dynamic flexibility efforts, strength training, medicine ball drills, movement training, metabolic conditioning, soft tissue work/ manual therapy, dedicated arm care, throwing programs, hitting development, and nutrition.

And, just as it is important for us to recognize these interdependencies, it's important to us that we educate our athletes on the "when", "how", and "why of their training, as opposed to simply the "what". We want our athletes to learn how to take care of their bodies and be advocates for themselves.
